Barry P. Wilensky is a Partner with CUTLER & WILENSKY LLP.  Attorney Wilensky has been a tax attorney for over twenty years and now concentrates his practice on counseling families, single individuals, professionals and owners of closely held businesses to plan their estates to maximize the amount of wealth which can pass to their heirs free from estate and gift taxes.  He also represents clients pertaining to their probate, guardianship and trust administration matters. He takes great pride in helping clients avoid probate, minimize or eliminate their federal and Massachusetts estate tax liability, and creating an appropriate dispositive scheme for clients and their families.
 
Mr. Wilensky was admitted to the Massachusetts Bar in 1992.  From 1993 through 2000, Mr. Wilensky worked for a "Big 4" Accounting firm and a Fortune 150 Company counseling high net worth individuals and multinational Fortune 500 clients on various domestic and international tax issues.
 
Mr. Wilensky received his Masters of Laws in taxation (LL.M.) from Boston University School of Law in 1993, his law degree (J.D.) from Syracuse University School of Law in 1992, and a bachelor's degree (B.A.) in both Philosophy and Political Science at Northwestern University in 1988. While at Northwestern University, Mr. Wilensky received the Political Science Award of Achievement, was on the Dean's List, and received a scholarship to study law and politics in Washington, D.C.

In 2000 & 2001, Mr. Wilensky was appointed a member of the Taxation Section Council of the Massachusetts Bar Association where he chaired the Tax Section's Education Committee. For 2002-2004, Mr. Wilensky was appointed as Chairman of the entire Taxation Section of the Massachusetts Bar Association.

Mr. Wilensky has spoken on various tax issues for private industry, the Massachusetts Bar Association, Massachusetts Continuing Legal Education and the general public.  He has authored many articles and books and has been quoted in various newspapers over the years.

He also served as a Big Brother in the Jewish Big Brother/Big Sister Organization, has been a Project Leader for City Year, has been a volunteer for the Community Tax Aid Project and has been a past Board Member for Women of Means which provides medical support to women in shelters.  He resides in Needham, MA with his wife Wendy and his children, Rachel and Adam.
